A career in Infrastructure and Property, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of developing and managing the PwC operational infrastructure that allows us to support our people and our clients. We focus on all aspects of internal infrastructure services from real estate site selection, facilities management, and physical security to managing relationships with Firm travel partners and event planning. Our Corporate Real Estate team is responsible for arranging the procurement of properties used for operating purposes while maintaining cost exposure to PwC.. You’ll help with real estate financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, site selection, and delivery of space.

 

Responsibilities

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines
  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors
  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities
  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications
  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria
  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials
  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Fundamental understanding of real estate principles. Demonstrated knowledge or experience in real estate and facilities management, supporting national real estate mandates, policies, portfolio occupancy rates, and space utilization. Demonstrated knowledge and or experience with merger and acquisition teams developing asset integration plans and liquidation of excess real estate. Demonstrated knowledge and or experience implementing change management programs and alternative work strategies.

Proven experience in project management and technology integration. Proven ability to: Develop workspace plans for offices to increase utilization and thereby reduce and or avoid future real estate costs. Understand the business models of each Line of Service to develop national space management plans and policies, to help optimize the real estate footprint. Ability to analyze statistical models and occupancy data. Work with local markets to implement national space policies and track effectiveness. Integrate best in class industry practices into PwC’s planning and utilization models. Develop analytical tools and program methodology for mergers, acquisitions and integration. Work with Finance and USIT to complete cost benefit analysis for space management processes, standards and technology solutions. Solicit feedback from offices regarding the impact of national policies on business effectiveness in practice and recommend areas for improvement. Collaborate with workspace team to identify deficiencies or areas of improvement for space management technologies including AOS Hoteling, Conference Room Management, and Floor Plan Management. Develop individual planning models with each of the LOS business leaders and Workspace Strategy team to more accurately forecast space needs and growth. Help the transaction and project teams in delivering projects and identifying areas for process improvement at the local level. Work with Corporate Social Responsibility group to identify green alternatives for reducing space. Train local offices on the correct way to manage space, and administer space management systems. Serve as the liaison between the field and the Workspace Strategy team to develop and implement long-term training, conference and meeting room solutions. Assist Merger and Acquisition teams in rolling new companies into the PwC portfolio with the aim of eliminating, when possible, the target company’s existing real estate. Oversee pilots of new programs and ideas in the local markets. Oversee subleasing program, and elimination of excess space due to downsizing, acquisitions or optimization efforts. Work in a team environment. Use problem solving and critical thinking skills. Effectively communicate and present at the Executive level. Demonstrate team leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills. Develop relationships with LOS and IFS groups to provide support so national policies are adhered to and implemented in each office. Collaborate with IFS and LOS to develop standards around utilization, and other business drivers to determine the appropriate level of space required to accommodate current operations Manage and develop exceptions to policies, which are needed to run the business such as exceptions to the standard planning models.
