ID Plans is hiring a National Team Leader to support the needs of our field team and provide feedback on morale, team needs, and safety compliance. Reporting directly to our Director of Operations in our Tampa, Florida headquarters, the National Team Leader will help reinforce company training, values, culture, and performance goals with field team members with special emphasis on the time period between new hire orientation and live field work. The National Team Leader will be a knowledge and compliance resource for field team members and will communicate with them regularly through one-on-one and group conversations. He or she will also be expected to provide regular reporting on the progress of field team members and to deliver feedback on individual team member challenges and successes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing and reporting a weekly action plan and travel agenda for submission to the Director of Operations in advance for the upcoming week.
- Reporting results from weekly coaching conversations, onboarding follow-up, training and team visits to the Director of Operations.
- Communicating with training teams throughout the training process.
- Reviewing training checklists, recaps, and reporting from training teams.
- Reviewing performance reporting and tracking performance trends.
- Staying up to date on safety regulations and requirements related to our industry.
- Tracking and keeping inventory for all field team equipment.
- Creating and enhancing existing policies and procedures for safety, training, and other field team member-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Skyping or visiting with all new hires on their first day at orientation to introduce yourself, explain your role, and set expectations.
- Review training team reports and feedback on new hires from first two projects.
- Follow up on new hire training for projects three and four. Compare original project turned in to finished project from the processing team with new hire to facilitate learning.
- Proactively reach out to new hires through projects three and four to gather feedback, assess progress, and coach to performance as needed.
- Remain a resource for recent hires and existing field team members.
- Review field team performance metrics and reports prior to visiting or communicating with team members.
- Contact each field team member at least weekly to discuss the week’s results and identify any challenges they faced.
- Report results to the leadership team as requested.
- Develop and share best practices for field team members to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.
- Create training strategies, refine training manuals, develop tests, and similar duties.
- Develop safety measures and best practices based on OSHA standards, along with safety trainings, policies, and documentation.
- Monitor and report on safety compliance, safety issues and potential hazards.
- Track all field team equipment and be responsible for replacing items as needed.
- Ensure all new team members have the necessary equipment to perform their jobs.
- Inventory existing equipment and order new equipment as necessary.
- Reviewing weekly time sheet data for team members.

- Understanding of OSHA standards and safety compliance issues
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms (phone, email, text, etc.)
Indicators of success
- Time from onboarding to proficiency in field continues improving by decreasing. “Proficiency” means the team member has successfully completed three projects in a row with an 80 percent or better accuracy rating.
- Field team error rates decline until they remain minimal (as measured by the FDS Tracker or other performance measures—Accuracy goal is 90 percent or better).
- Field Team compliance – are field team members performing as you have instructed? Are you following the instructions and coaching from your supervisors?
- Employee Retention rate increases and remains high with a goal of 80 percent or better.
- Voluntary Turnover rate decreases and remains low.
- Feedback from teams through anonymous surveys, performance reviews, and general communication indicate that team members enjoy working with you and value the contributions you bring to the role.
- Safety compliance as determined by amount of reported safety issues and results of safety training and testing.
