Job Summary

Our Administration department is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Office Assistant. This position provides interdepartmental office support with a variety of clerical activities, is responsible for all aspects of mail distribution, flow of varying correspondence, and assisting the company with a variety office support tasks. This position reports to the HR Manager.

This hourly entry-level position can serve as your introduction into the insurance industry. Essential Functions

  • Handle all incoming mail from: sorting, stamping, scanning, and saving mail as designated for each department.
  • Transport outgoing mail to the post office daily and facilitating the certified mail process
  • Maintaining breakroom- stocking cups, utensils, coffee/tea, and general cleanliness
  • Maintain lobby area and ensure that authorized guests and personnel are allowed access, greeted, and directed to appropriate department liaison
  • Inventory – checking on stock for office, breakroom, and cleaning supplies, to ensure accuracy and current levels of stock
  • Assist purchasing manager as required regarding office supplies and equipment
  • Assist with company morale functions
  • Assist HR Coordinator with facilitating the building maintenance processes
  • General administrative tasks as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree.
  • 2+ years of customer service, receptionist, or executive assistant experience in a formal corporate work environment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Position may occasionally require overtime and work on weekends.
