A growing law firm in Tampa is working with us to find a strong Office Assistant for their practice. The ideal career path for this individual is to grow into the Office Manager role as the firm grows. The ideal candidate for this role is a person who has previous worked in a legal office and can help with legal research, basic bookkeeping, scheduling, computer licensing, etc. This is a very diverse role, but at the start it will be serve more as an administrative role.
Duties:
- Support the entire legal team to ensure they have the resources they need to appropriately handle their cases
- Answer phones, take questions from clients, follow up on A/R issues
- Work with vendors
- Type, file and prepare correspondence as needed
- Schedule hearings, travel, appointments as needed
Skills:
- Self starting, looking to grow their career
- Independent worker, doesn’t wait to be told what to do
- Strong basic administrative skills
- Previous background in law is preferred
- Excellent customer service/communication abilities
- Able to lead and generate loyalty
