Part-Time (26-28 hours a week) The Parish Office Assistant and Receptionist position is responsible for organizing and supporting the daily operations of the parish. Responsible for providing a welcome and polite environment to all visitors, parishioners, and callers with professionalism. Must have excellent verbal and written skills. Needs to effectively handle all inquiries for all the departments in the parish. This person is responsible for selecting, training and recruiting stewards to the reception area, so they can maintain the same high level professionalism with visitors and callers. This position is responsible for maintaining the pastor’s calendar and the parishioner data base. The position also prepares certificates as requested, and maintains the stock of office supplies.Required skills: The ideal candidate will be proficient with computers and programs including Google Apps, Word, Excel, and ParishSoft; be bilingual in Spanish; have excellent management skills; be self-motivated; and be problem solver. Candidates must successfully complete a Level II FBI background screening and attend Safe Environment Training.
