We are searching for an Operations Specialist to help cover an area spanning the Brevard, Hillsborough and Lake counties in Florida. ( Melbourne, Cocoa, Titusville, Leesburg, Tampa, Mt Dora, Brandon ) 

The Operations Specialist would travel within the MHM portfolio to properties that either need additional help or where there is a vacant position in Management or a training need.

This person MUST have experience with affordable housing program administration (Project Based Section 8 and LIHTC is a must). This is a 40+ hour per week position which requires a lot of travel. Salary is based on experience; we also offer an attractive benefit package.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining the physical assets and maximizing the financial returns of properties and personnel.
  • Marketing and leasing according to Fair Housing Laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Tenant management including resident’s complaints and compliance with lease terms.
  • Financial reporting and control for budgeting, purchase orders, rents, payroll, etc.
  • Additional property administration including management planning, hiring, training, supervising, developing and terminating personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all assigned properties are fully operational.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Assisting with the assimilation of new acquisitions

Qualifications:

  • 3+ year’s managerial experience, supervising ten or more subordinates with multi-site responsibility.
  • Experience with One-Site software is desired.
  • Fluency in MS office programs.
  • Ability to handle finances and work within a budget.
  • Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation or COS (or similar)
  • Exceptional communication skills along with the proven ability to interact with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to solve problems involving residents, employees, finances, equipment failure, and emergency situations.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time both day trips and overnight trips.
