Compensation: $22-28/hr
OSP/FI/Design Engineers:
The candidate we’re seeking will perform various general engineering design functions which may include but are not limited to the following:
Design of feeder and distribution cable facilities using appropriate tools such as OSP/FM, OSP/CAD, AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION, etc.
Preparation and acquisition of necessary permits and rights-of-way for OSP facilities
Feeder Route Analysis/Administration and development of appropriate feeder route strategies and solutions for feeder relief
Liaison with various government agencies regarding the planning, placing, relocation, etc. of OSP facilities
Costing of engineering work orders using appropriate tools such as CPO, etc.
Identification and provide appropriate resolution of OSP facility shortages (Le. Held Orders, etc.)
Customer contact: This includes such items as negotiating with Contractors/Developers for facility placement in new developments; attending meetings related to the projected impact on OSP facilities by public requirements projects, etc.; meetings with the general public in the course of investigating and resolving Held Orders, whether in person or via telephone.
