Permanent Opening for Experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal in St. Petersburg. Candidates with nursing home experience should apply too. Position is defense litigation. Duties of Medical Malpractice Paralegal
- Prepare medical malpractice cases from inception to trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, orders and correspondence
- Answering and propounding discovery
- Summarizing records; medical records depositions and other records relevant to a case
- Communicating with clients, witnesses and experts
- Preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations and trials
- Preparing trial exhibits, trial notebooks; assisting with jury instructions
- Other litigation paralegal duties
Qualifications of Medical Malpractice Paralegal
- Experience working on either Med Mal or Nursing Home matters
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
