Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Boutique Law Firm
A well-established South Tampa Labor & Employment management defense law firm is looking for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Opening and maintaining files and organizing litigation documents.
- Editing and finalizing documents.
- Filing documents with State and Federal courts and governmental entities.
- Assist with document production, deposition, mediation and trial preparation.
- Manage calendar for all critical dates and deadlines
- Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations and trials
- General administrative duties, such as answering phones, interaction with clients and managing the attorneys’ schedules.
Qualifications:
- Typing 70 words plus per minute with attention to grammar and accuracy, with excellent proof-reading skills.
- Must be an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant well versed in the litigation process, at least 5+ years of experience in a law firm, with experience in litigation and/or employment law firm a plus.
- Must be familiar with state and federal rules and procedures.
- Must possess very strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be highly detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize work for multiple attorneys, handle a fast-paced environment and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision.
- Ideal candidates will have strong software skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams).
This is a fulltime position. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision & life insurance and 401k.
