Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Order medical records and bills from area providers in addition to communicating with these entities to verify balances and pay off amounts
- Track and organize relevant records related to a client’s case in firm case management system
- Understand insurance terminology as it relates to an individual’s auto benefits such as uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist, and medical pay benefits
- Contact with lien holders for updates and negotiations as related to Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance
- Ensure the organization and entry of all required data into the firm’s case management system
- Prepare, calculate, and maintain damage summaries including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage
- Assist in the preparation of settlement disbursement summaries
Experience and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience working in a fast-paced plaintiff firm
- Experience in managing a caseload of personal injury files is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintains high accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Work efficiently to meet regular deadlines
