Located in sunny Tampa Bay, FL our growing Real Estate development office is eager to announce that we have a new permanent, full-time employment opportunity available for a Paralegal to join our Property Planning Department & team!
The successful candidate will be able to provide senior-level paralegal research analysis support for acquisitions and sales of various types of residential properties.
The Paralegal – Real Estate & Property Research Analyst will be expected to perform and complete relevant investigation / research, reporting and correspondence in regards to title searches and LP’s, judgements, mortgages, modification of mortgages, assignment of mortgages (AOM’s), IRS tax liens, and back property taxes owed and must be able to successfully transfer and discuss data collected between clerks/paralegals/lawyers, as well as discuss any particular cases/properties that require discussion or clarification.
Qualifications of the Paralegal – Real Estate & Property Research Analyst:
- Post-secondary education in Paralegal studies
- Minimum 4-5 years of related work experience performing bank plaintiff mortgage foreclosures, defense mortgage foreclosures, working for a Plaintiff/Defense law firm and/or working as a paralegal in the real estate investment industry.
- Solid understanding of Florida land title registration requirements. Must be familiar with docket searching, research and information retrieval on civil foreclosure dockets as well as how to search official records in most Florida counties (Particularly: Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Lee, Orange, Sarasota, Volusia, Brevard, Lake, Seminole, Hernando, Seminole, Osceola, Duval and Charlotte)
- Firm grasp of the mortgage foreclosure process, foreclosure laws, and legal requirements in relation to it.
- Strong administration & computer skills including advanced proficiency with the MS Office suite, Adobe 10, and E-file document preparation
- Client-service oriented, including strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and creative thinking skills
- Proven ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and adjust to changing needs of our company
