The Pinellas County Homeless Leadership Board is non-profit agency whose mission is to prevent, divert, and end homelessness in Pinellas County. We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team in St. Petersburg. The position will require 20 hours per week, between 8:30 and 5:00PM; specific hours to be determined. Some local travel will be required with mileage reimbursement. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be accountable for routine clerical duties and should be familiar with general office practices. The ideal candidate will not only possess good administrative skills but also bring talents in organization and communication and be tech savvy. Responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Varied administrative and general clerical duties including: preparation of correspondence, emailing, filing, copying, scanning and print jobs.
  • Taking and transcribing meeting minutes.
  • Scheduling and calendaring meetings in Outlook.
  • Assist with sending newsletters and e-blasts, adding new listings to our website; posting news and events on Facebook, Twitter and other social media.
  • Create, maintain and add data to Excel spreadsheets with accuracy.
  • Assist Executive Assistant on varied projects.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of previous administrative experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work well with deadlines; be flexible.
  • Solid Social Media experience in a business setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong editing skills, i.e., spelling, grammar, punctuation.
  • Self-starting; Able to determine the next step in a process independently.
  • Punctual and reliable work ethic.
  • Access to transportation to attend required meetings in Pinellas County.
  • Must pass a Level II background screen.
