Part-time Admissions Assistant
The Straz Center for the Performing Arts is seeking to fill the position ofAdmissions Assistant, reporting to the Admissions Administrator. The position will provide support to the Admissions Administrator and Admissions Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the Admissions Office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the student orientation process, registration system, parking, student badges and all other Conservatory policies.
- Assists with maintaining and communicating the private lesson schedules to all teachers and students.
- Assists with maintaining class rosters for all teachers.
- Provides administrative support to the education department as needed.
- Receives payments (check, cash, and credit cards) and tracks all financial transactions into the student registration system.
- Assists in accurately processing student tuition and financial aid awards to accounts following the standard operating procedures.
- Possesses knowledge of all Conservatory activities by becoming familiar with the events calendar and class schedules.
- Provides accurate information to current and potential parents/students in a timely manner via phone/email/face-to face inquires.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Previous experience in customer service or administration preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to create positive relationships with parents, students and staff.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate discretion in the performance of job duties.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Intermediate Excel proficiency required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
