The Video Production Assistant serves as a video content producer for Lightning Vision productions, internal Amalie Arena displays, and associated TBSE properties and events. This includes all Tampa Bay Lightning home games, and all sponsor and occasional third-party event requests for these services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Video Production Manager and Staff in videography, editing and producing associated with many Lightning Vision video features and other company projects, etc. as directed for in-game display and on team website.
  • Perform as videographer on location for commercial and/or other company shoots as directed.
  • Perform editing assemblies and packaging as directed for all internal productions and occasional third-party requirements as directed.
  • Assist in maintaining video footage database/archives, logging TV broadcast highlights.
  • Occasional projects may extend to TBSE business needs at Yuengling Center and Raymond James Stadium.
  • Possible In-Game Lightning Vision Crew function will be determined by Director of Prod Operations and VP, Game Presentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must comply with our company policy of background checks
    • 1-2 years of recent live video and/or sports production, ENG video production, and, non-linear video editing experience – preferably for a sports team’s in house production.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and ability to maintain healthy relationships with co-workers, managers, and executives.
    • BA/BS (or equivalent degree) in video and television production.
    • Knowledge of hockey is preferred, but not necessary.
    • Knowledge of Editing Programs (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, etc.)
    • Technical aptitude, including very good computer skills (troubleshooting abilities and a major interest in emerging video and display technologies).
    • Commitment to work scheduled event days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
    • Commitment to work long-hour stretches – especially during periods of heavy pre-production and with short-turnaround projects.
