JOB SUMMARY

Encompassing all properties within the TBSE portfolio (Tampa Bay Lightning, USF Athletics, Identity Tampa Bay), the Partnership Activation Account Coordinator will manage assigned corporate partner sponsorship accounts with a focus on providing our partners world-class service and strategic activation platforms resulting in increased retention and revenue. The Account Coordinator will also be responsible for renewing and growing managed partnerships on an annual basis.

In addition, the Account Coordinator will manage all aspects associated with the inventory management, implementation, and reporting of the department’s key partnership marketing assets including but not limited to digital, television, radio, web, print, social, and hospitality. The Account Coordinator will share in leading department’s CRM, assisting with financial and inventory reporting, ROI/ROO tracking, and special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee day-to-day management, activation, and development of assigned sponsors across all TBSE properties (Tampa Bay Lightning, USF Athletics, Identity Tampa Bay)
    • Act as an extension of assigned partners’ brand, understanding the industry landscape, business objectives, challenges, opportunities, etc.
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate on the strategy and fulfillment of partnership marketing initiatives
    • Lead the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of all assigned partners’ contractual elements, including but not limited to: traditional media assets (e.g. radio, print, television, digital, social, etc.), in-market promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs
    • Manage both internal and external partner expectations on processes, timelines, approvals, and deadlines
    • Maintain and grow internal and external partner relationships at all levels from day-to-day contacts to decision-makers through regular touchpoints, including but not limited to: weekly or bi-weekly status calls; annual partner activation summit; hospitality and events; pre-season planning, mid-season recap, and post-season recap meetings; etc.
    • Act as a corporate marketing consultant to partner contacts to develop, present and deliver on impactful, effective and measurable sponsorship platforms
    • Responsible for directly contributing to overall company and department revenue goals through partnership renewals and upsell opportunities
    • Co-management of department’s CRM inclusive of inventory management, revenue reporting, and forecasting, partner marketing lists, etc.
    • Help manage the process of measuring the effectiveness of assigned sponsorship platforms to demonstrate partner ROI and ROO using tools such as Scarborough, Repucom, GumGum, and independent internal studies, etc.
    • Perform additional duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, advertising, or sports management (or similar field) from four-year college or university required
  • Two to four years of partnership activation/service/sales experience preferred; professional and/or collegiate sports is a plus
  • Able to interface with colleagues, senior executives, and clients effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style accordingly to the audience
  • Ability to successfully collaborate and influence others in a flexible and dynamic environment
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as occasional ability to travel to meet potential clients and attend industry conferences

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Position requires the ability to use hands and fingers on office and mobile technology
  • Position requires the ability to listen and speak on phone, in meetings, and in one-on-one conversations

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position will work in an office and arena environment; the noise level is usually moderate, but can be loud; the temperature in the office space is usually moderate, but can vary throughout the arena from warm to very cold depending on location
