SIS (Owner’s Representative Senior Program Manager)
General Position Summary
The Senior Program Manager (SPM) is responsible for assisting the SIS Regional Executive and/or Regional Director on various project assignments. The position requires strong communication and coordination skills plus the ability to work within a team. The Senior Program Manager must be flexible, an adaptable team-player, and have strong project management skills.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent the owner as their agent (in an owner’s representative/staff augmentation role)
- Typical project management duties and responsibilities
- Support the owner’s interests in the administration of their project(s)
- Project scheduling
- Cost and change order management
- Review of contractor estimates
- Daily communication and coordination of project progress
- Planning ability (high level familiarity with scheduling and phasing etc.)
- Budget development and maintenance experience
- Ability to work with designers, engineers and contractors
- Lead project meetings
- Communicate and enforce owner and contractor EH&S Program
- Preparation of monthly reports, as required, for approval by the owner
- Make presentations in public meetings, as required
- Assist with business development opportunities
- Program management experience highly desired
Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.)
- Broad understanding of industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Math and financial accounting skills
- Functions effectively as part of a team
- Dependability
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Solid time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent
- 10 to 15 years of industry experience
