Job Accountabilities:  The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to lead, coach and support all employees in their activities associated with the production of Crown products. Specific accountabilities include the following:

  • Review and support master scheduling process to meet production requirements.
  • Plan process activities and follow established priorities in regard to procedures, equipment capabilities, process team performance and staffing levels.
  • Review, analyze and act to correct non-conformance in the areas of policies and procedures, safety, SPC performance, continuous maintenance and throughput to Sales.
  • Lead, coach and support line process teams in their efforts to improve quality, increase flexibility and reduce costs.
  • Maintain time and attendance records.
  • Provide leadership for employees and hold them accountable to achieve departmental and company goals through the use of the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Provide feedback to employees on job performance through verbal communication and formal performance appraisals.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to insure production and product quality meet specifications.
  • Inspect equipment to insure optimum utilization, quality and safety.
  • Communicate with employees concerning staffing needs, scheduling, problem solving, change actions, overtime, vacations, training and safety.

Job Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Three years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an unionized environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Full command of MS Office (Word, Access, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Strong organization and project management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work weekend and overtime hours.
  • Must be available to work all three shifts.
