POSITION OBJECTIVE
To maintain in operating condition all plumbing fixtures and locks throughout property.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and repair all types of plumbing breaks and repairs.
- Responsible for repairing underground water lines, sinks, faucets, water heaters, toilets, urinals, flush valves, etc.
- Assist with repairs to all locking devices, guestroom door locks, and re-pinning of locks throughout the property and maintenance as determined by the Supervisor or as needed. (Through service work check lists, preventative maintenance, mechanic challenges, operation testing.)
- Perform all preventative maintenance on equipment scheduled. i.e. service work, grinding, adjustments.
- Perform walk around inspections on equipment through checking equipment for condition and parts to be repaired or replaced. Maintain documentation through the use of service sheets.
- Participate in departmental training on equipment to the satisfaction of the Supervisor. Training will cover specific points in the daily operations of the department.
- Report status of equipment to superintendent through service sheets or verbal communications to insure proper functions and safety.
- Supportive to resort-wide training programs including but not limited to: OSHA, Safety, Educational and Employee Enhancement programs to assure the continual upgrading of department personnel.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the resort:
- Adhere to resort safety standards.
- Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
- Assist other departmental craft workers as required.
- Perform all duties required as Fire Alarm Response Team. Participate in OSHA/Safety programs within the resort through awareness in every day job functions and participate on the Hotel’s Emergency Evacuation Team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent education required. Must have minimum of two years hands-on experience working with plumbing and locking devices.
