Job Description
Join one of GCI’s inspiring and vibrant communities as a Full Time Porter for our Westwood Reserve community in Tampa, FL.
GCI Residential, is a prominent and diversified real estate development and management firm that is committed to offering exceptional places to live and work. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and that can work independently. This position ensures the quality appearance and upkeep of the property in order to maintain its overall appeal to future and current residents.
What You’ll Do:
- Responds to resident requests and works with residents to minimize and resolve resident problems and complaints.
- Proactively assesses the appearance of the community; identifies and resolves community appearance concerns
- Ensures that the garage presents well at all times (cleanliness, sweeping, power washing, professional environment, etc.)
- Assist residents with packages, luggage, etc., to and from the garage and their suite
- Ensure garage is safe and secure, doors are locked, lights are on, safety issues are addressed
- Assist with suite turns when needed
- Cleans the clubhouse, leasing office, amenity areas and other common areas as scheduled by the Manager.
- Assist with grounds upkeep.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations; adhere to applicable building codes; report safety hazards
- Performs a wide variety of tasks in order to ensure residents a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive place to live
- Provides high quality customer service according to GCI’s customer service principles in order to maximize resident retention
- Runs errands as needed
- Performs other duties as directed or assigned

Other Requirements:
- Overtime as required
- Regular attendance is mandatory
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- Lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
- Inside and outside work in all types of weather
- Prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, pushing and pulling
- Ability to lift and utilize a ladder
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
- Some maintenance skills; prior experience
