HomeRiver Group is hiring for a Portfolio Manager to join our team!
The Portfolio Manager will work directly under the Director of Institutional Accounts to support and help assist with the day-to-day operations. In this role the Senior Portfolio Managers are responsible for guiding the Property Manager, Assistant Property Managers, and Leasing Associates as well as act as a main point of contact for larger scale clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Director of Institutional Accounts by managing many of the day-to-day activities in multiple sub-markets for a specific client or set of clients
Also acts as the second escalation point for residents and the first escalation point for clients
Empowered with the ability to make customers and clients happy when things go wrong, within a certain monetary threshold
Keep PMs and APMs focused on KPIs that drive performance for owners and P&L performance
May act as main point of contact for larger scale clients with actual job duties remaining with the PM
Maintain Reputation.com pages and handle negative feedback, surveys and reviews with tact and a service-oriented approach
Knowledge and Skills
Experience using modern property management software
Advanced experience using MS Office applications and G-Suite
The candidate should be computer savvy and quickly adapt to new computer systems
Prior supervisory experience highly desired
Education, Certifications, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5 + years in property management
2+ years experience with institutional clients
Must have a valid driver’s license and provide proof of personal insurance.
Knowledge of property management software i.e.; Propertyware, Rent Manager, Showmojo, etc
Must have advanced MS Office (excel in particular) experience as well as strong data analytics experience
Strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties
Self-starter attitude and ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, exercise judgment, and take ownership of projects in the absence of direct supervision
Team player with a strong work ethic, pro-active orientation, who can anticipate needs, is assertive, and highly accountable, with a mature and positive attitude
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior and superlative customer service to all parties
Self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments, exercise sound judgement, and take ownership of projects and decision making without constant direct supervision
Team player with strong work ethic, pro-active orientation, above average communication and follow up, is assertive, and highly accountable, with a mature and positive attitude
