General Description:
The Preconstruction Manager assumes the lead role in directing activities necessary to prepare best in class budget proposals and/or bids.

Position Requirements: *
B.S. in Construction Management, or related engineering discipline
5+ years of experience working in the commercial construction industry
3-5 years of experience working as a Senior Estimator on large commercial construction projects ($35M+)

Duties and Responsibilities: *
Lead role managing $35M+ budget proposals (typically 3 person teams)
Mastery level of understanding and implementation of preconstruction standards and procedures
Collaborate with Operations team members on purchasing, strategies, procurement requirements and subcontractor selection
Provide design assist/constructability reviews for each phase of design development
Purchasing/preliminary subcontract language (scopes of work) in negotiations
Preliminary scheduling
Primary A/E/O point of contact during preconstruction
Marketing ® managing sub/vendor database (global and individual pursuits)
Lead budget presentations to clients
Manage the team to ensure complete and timely budget package
Assist in development of fee strategy
Lead role in training other associates
Mentor developing members of Preconstruction team on requirements of budget proposals, COB creation, and subcontractor evaluation
