This position is for a Principal Consultant with a minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience working within enterprise IT Infrastructure environments. Candidate should possess expert knowledge of Microsoft and other infrastructure products, with experience ranging from design, implementation, migration, and systems management for enterprise IT environments.
We’re looking for a strong technologist, with a core focus on Microsoft technologies, but also a broad set of IT experience. A background in IP networking would be highly desirable. To be successful in this role, you will have lived and breathed IT challenges in an enterprise environment, and can communicate your experience effectively to customers.
The Principal Consultant will work with our Sales and Presales team in the region, on both a Presales and Delivery basis, helping to sell our infrastructure solutions, and being engaged in deployment of Microsoft and other associated technologies.
The Principal Consultant will have formal goals associated with driving Services growth within the Region, and successful project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION
- Experience working within a variety of industries and environments and have worked on large scale design and implementation projects
- Previously worked in Senior Consultant or internal IT capacity (50% designing and selling the solution with some delivery with the team as a project lead)
- Ideally have worked for a large systems integrator
- A flexible attitude and belief in getting the job done and working closely with the sales organization
- The ability to foster strong relationships at all levels
- Will be heavily involved as part of the sales process while operating as the Microsoft Technical Expert and will work very closely with the sales team and Account Managers
- Four-year BS in Computer Science or related field, preferred
Technical Skillsets and Overall Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Windows Server software experience, with some combination of Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Lync background
- Virtualization Systems Management Experience
- Ability to help a customer understand best practices around IT strategy and operations
- Backup and replication strategies around cost reduction and operation efficiencies
- Ability to participate on delivery of billable engagements including hands-on implementation of software technologies
- Provide level of effort documentation and write Statements of Work for client based on the opportunity
- Create Visio design architecture deliverables to clients and provide whiteboard sessions to discuss the IT strategy
- Work with the AdvizeX sales teams to develop relationships with clients and the consultant delivery team
