Qualifications
- 4-year college degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, with strong academic achievement and an aptitude for analytics.
- 2 – 4 years of work experience with exposure to various areas of underwriting, finance and/or accounting with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Fundamental understanding of real estate and corporate finance.
- Strong competence with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of financial modeling.
- Strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth and an eagerness to learn.
- Experience leading and scoping projects, in many cases having multiple benefactors
Who You’ll Work With
You will work directly with the Founder, CFO and controller, and will have routine interactions with outside investors. You will also have interaction with leadership teams of current and prospective portfolio companies, as well as investors and various other stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
You will deal with various finance and accounting related matters, such as portfolio analysis, underwriting, investor relations, ad-hoc projects and annual planning. You will produce periodic updates for current investments to be distributed to external stakeholders.
In this role you will deal directly with leadership. You will work with leadership to design new value-added reporting and refine existing reporting as needed. You will also identify insights from reports to provide concise commentary and assist in follow-on ad-hoc data analysis.
Moreover, you will support the CFO as well as prepare financial models for prospective investments.
