Job Title: Project Coordinator I

Job Summary:
The Project Support Coordinator provides essential support to project management, construction supervision, and field teams, ensuring that all construction and maintenance activities adhere to applicable codes, drawings, and specifications. This role participates in project meetings and performs various administrative tasks related to change orders, expediting, shop drawings, subcontractor coordination, contract modifications, and documentation. Additionally, the position assists with cost estimation and project analysis. This is an entry-level position with growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, design, and construction methods, ensuring the effective interpretation and application of design specifications
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, architects, and project managers
- Collaborate across on-site departments to resolve issues, maintain quality, and meet project schedules
- Identify and resolve issues related to project work plans and timelines
- Maintain and update logs for equipment, transmittals, and submittals
- Track project expenses, labor costs, and overall budget adherence
- Create and manage meeting minutes, project schedule updates, requisition logs, and change orders
- Coordinate site and vendor qualification visits as necessary
- Monitor project budgets, track costs by cycle, and create additional cost codes when required
- Code invoices, manage requisition logs, and oversee the billing process
- Provide on-site technical guidance, including document interpretation for supervisors and the creation of RFIs
- Prepare sketches, lift plans, and drawings to support construction, change orders, and estimates
- Ensure all completed work complies with codes, drawings, and specifications
- Manage document control processes, including cataloging and overseeing drawing/specification updates
- Prepare and distribute necessary project documentation, such as status reports, punch lists, and material requirements
- Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field; equivalent technical training and experience are also acceptable
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Familiarity with construction/manufacturing equipment, techniques, drawings, and standards
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Proficient in estimating, scheduling, and budget management
- Skilled in standard office software
Working Environment:
This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with potential exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and other environmental conditions. Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
- Frequent climbing, bending, crawling, and reaching
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, with frequent lifting of lighter loads
- Visual and auditory acuity for reading documents and responding to construction site sounds
