Project Coordinator Position

Role Information:
This role supports each department. The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Preconstruction with permitting, the Purchasing Manager with bid coordination and vendor outreach, and the Director of Construction with scheduling. As a support role, some office administration tasks are required as well, including answering the phone and maintaining supplies.
A four-year degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. Construction experience is not required. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to get into the construction industry.
This role has advancement opportunities in a variety of areas, such as project management or estimating.
Compensation:
$40,000-$50,000 based on experience, 40 hours
Health and dental insurance, one week of paid vacation after 90 days
Paid holidays off
Responsibilities:
· Update and maintain vendor contact database.
· Follow up with subcontractors during the bidding process.
· New-vendor setup and follow up.
· Assemble permit package for submission, work with Director of Pre-Construction, Architects, Engineers & Developers to acquire necessary paperwork for permit submission.
· Submit, follow up and pick up permits & update permit tracker reports.
· Answer phones, greet vendors & notify appropriate staff of visitors.
· Maintain office supplies
· Create & maintain construction schedule in Microsoft Project software.
· Weekly follow-up with Project Managers on schedule updates
· Print weekly construction schedules for Director of Construction
· Mon-Fri in office from 8am-5pm
Qualifications/Requirements
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Microsoft Project experience a plus.
· Professional appearance & excellent communication skills
· Professional interactions with external clients.
· Must be self-sufficient and have attention to detail.
· Detail-oriented work and time-management skills
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
