Job Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will lead the project management for critical infrastructure, telecommunication design/build projects. Projects are centered around electrical, HVAC, and civil infrastructure supporting customer’s requirements. Responsibilities include client meetings, project planning, equipment selection and logistics, on-site management, and project closeouts. Ideal candidate would have solid construction management experience and strong experience dealing with customers in the cable or telecom industry.
Primary Job Duties:
- Refine scope of work and detail subcontracts
- Manage multiple projects in various stage of activities
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, scope, and schedule
- Participate in engineering process to control cost and client budget requirements of project
- Develop project schedule and monitor/update as project progresses
- Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of installation superintendents and trades people
- Provide specific expertise and critical thinking for problem solving
- Provide technical evaluation of subcontractor and equipment proposals
- Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
- Coordinate completion of construction activities.
- Prepare punch list to ensure the readiness of systems for turnover to the client.
- Prepare customer proposals and project change orders
Experience and Skills:
- 3-10 years’ experience in construction project management ((Mechanical. Electrical and Civil)
- Understanding of commercial electrical and HVAC systems
- Ability to read, and understand scope of work and engineering design drawings
- Leadership and Organization skills
- Winning mentality and team player
- Knowledge of construction safety, policies, and procedures, with field experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills in customer facing settings
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office
- Preferred: experience with data centers, critical infrastructure, and networking facilities
