BCH Mechanical has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager within the Construction industry. 

JOB SUMMARY:  The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects, while ensuring the projects are completed on time, within budget, at an above industry standard of quality, and to the full satisfaction of the client. 


JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in preparation and/or review of project estimates.
  • Review client contracts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings with estimating and field operations.
  • Prepare project budget and establish cost centers for tracking of material, labor and equipment.
  • Evaluate and scope out vendors and subcontractors in preparation for purchase commitment.
  • Prepare and review submittals.
  • Review and assist in developing the project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress/schedule to ensure compliance with contract schedule.
  • Create, in conjunction with the Project Supervision, a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Participate in labor forecasting and look ahead scheduling.
  • Prepare monthly project cost forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit pricing for changes in the work scope and make necessary budget revisions to account for changes.
  • Review and monitor project progress to ensure quality, safety and adherence to the requirements of contract documents are being met.
  • Support on-site construction activities and staff as necessary.
  • Maintain all project documentation.
  • Attend project meetings as required.
  • Oversee all fiscal aspects of the project.
  • Ensure timely and accurate project close-out.
  • Interface with other departments (Design, Purchasing, Fabrication) to maintain clear communication and ensure proper flow of information and correspondence.
  • Build trust and relationships with field personnel.
  • Act as a liaison and build trust between BCH Mechanical L.L.C., the client and other project parties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, and in the use of scheduling and construction software, i.e., MS Project, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of Florida Mechanical and Plumbing Codes, as well as area standards/regulations.
