Project Manager – Glass and Glazing / Division 8 / Division 10 / Fenestration A Plus
American Products, Inc., is a leading supplier of glazing systems and architectural metals (Division 8, Division 10 and Division 5), including curtain wall, storefront, doors, canopies, sunshades, roof screens, and more. API is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager / Project Coordinator, preferably with glass and glazing, fenestration, door experience, canopy experience, etc. to join our team in Tampa, Florida. - Our Project Manager will both manage fast track projects from beginning to end, from estimating to ship as well as work with our production team to ensure storefront and glazing products as well as other architectural metal products such as canopies and sunshades are supplied as specified
- Work with customers during all phases of project, including review shop drawings, estimates and other documents all the while maintaining detailed and organized records of all project related documents
- Quote / estimate various types of glazing and storefront and door projects as needed
- Provide product knowledge and support to both internal team members and customers
- Complete necessary paperwork to process orders and complete production
- Review project details, blueprints and shop drawings for accuracy (can train)
Qualifications for Project Manager / Project Coordinator
- Must have excellent computer skills
- Must be very organized
- Must enjoy working with customers
- Must have very strong project management skills Knowledge of fenestration industry, including glass, glazing, storefront and door standard products and their applications is a plus but not required
- Fixture, sign, experience a plus as well Ability to read blueprints a plus
- Ability to handle numerous projects and prioritize workload a must Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Very strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other software
- Division 8, Division 10, Division 5 experience a plus but not required
