Jones Lang LaSalle is looking to add a Project Manager to our growing Project Development Services Multi Site team for a retail client in the metro New York area. This role will be a contract opportunity for a 9-10 month defined period with JLL. Overnight travel may be required up to 2 days a week but primary base will be Tampa/South Florida.

  • Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments.
  • Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment.
  • Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects.
  • Conduct and document all weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate and track all Vendor RFP’s. Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
  • Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions.
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors 8. Validate and negotiate contractor change orders and make recommendations to the client.
  • Visit project site at appropriate intervals and confirm progress is consistent with the project schedule and work is in general conformance with contract documents.
  • Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects.
  • Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain a level not to exceed planned working capital charge as set by corporate finance and the Regional Operations Manager.
  • Assist Local PDS Team in meeting AGM numbers on a Regional and National level as determined on a yearly basis by the Management Executive Committee. Comply with all Jones Lang LaSalle policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, strongly preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience in retail oriented project management, preferred
  • Previous experience effectively supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating several project managers at various levels within the organization/team
  • Prior experience with site due diligence and entitlements, beneficial but not a must.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings, furniture, fixtures, equipment and store planning concepts
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to support or lead Business Development initiatives as assigned or requested.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients
  • Ability to successfully communicate with architects, contractors, client’s representatives, and team members.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to Budgeting, Scheduling, Submittals and Change orders
  • Demonstrated high level of performance in project budgeting, contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software
