Full Job Description
Project Manager, Healthcare and Education Construction. Must have experience in healthcare construction- hospitals, patient care facilities (required) and K-12 to higher education building construction projects needed to join our growing team at DS Contracting, LLC. In this position, you will plan, direct, oversee financial budgets, coordinate contractors, manage the construction process, organize schedules, track inventory, order and manage materials. Medical facility projects are done in internal occupied areas and external facility areas.

DS Contracting, LLC is, headquartered in Ocala, FL with an office in Largo, is focused on new construction, renovation, facilities services in the healthcare, K-12 and higher education, commercial and government market segments. Our company manages projects in all areas of Florida.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required – Five years’ minimum experience in healthcare construction – hospitals, skilled medical facilities, etc. as project manager
Required – Five years’ minimum experience in K-12 to higher education construction as project manager
Required -Five years’ experience in occupied area renovations and remodels
Required – Experience with required inspections and regulatory agencies including Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA) inspections
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry
- In-depth understanding of hospital construction projects
- Strong project management skills, results-driven, with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to focus, manage time and organize multiple projects
- Be a self-starter. Goal and team oriented leadership style
- Proven ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget guidelines
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
- OSHA 10 or 30, First Aid/CPR/AED
- Ability to pass level two background check and drug screening
- Bachelor’s degree in building construction, construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university or combination of education and years of experience
- Proficiency with Procore a plus
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepare bid packages
- Qualify proposals
- Organize and create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
- Build and track schedules
- Assemble change orders
- Track project information
- Meet with superintendents and director of operations
- Generate meeting agenda and minutes
- Issue purchase orders and subcontracts
- Submittal and shop drawing review
- Prepare takeoffs
- Maintain project documentation
- Review and approve invoices
- Maintain the flow of information
- Track submittals and RFIs
- Communicate with client, superintendents, and all partners
