Job Description

Project Manager

The Project Manager holds a leadership role and is tasked with providing strategic management and direction for construction and commercial business. This staff member is expected to drive business in commercial and residential fire and mold mitigation, commercial water damage mitigation, and residential and commercial construction; as well as residential construction and rebuild work.

Specific duties include directing residential and commercial fire and mold mitigation projects, selling, managing and producing residential and commercial construction services, and managing commercial water damage mitigation and large residential water damage mitigation.

You will be primarily be working Hernando County.  You must live in the Hernando County area so that you can respond quickly to emergencies in the area.

You need to have the ability to sell the company services when you are doing estimates so prior experience doing estimates and sales will be given top priority.

You will be provided a company vehicle, computer and cell phone.

You will be on call during the weekend on a rotation with other employees so you will not be on call every weekend.

The company subsidizes your health insurance up to $300 a month.

You will also get 3 sick days and 3 personal days each year as well as paid vacation.

This is a DIRECT HIRE position.  You will start day one with the new company.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Produce mostly commercial mitigation, large residential mitigation, and commercial and residential construction/rebuild projects from start to finish working in conjunction with administrative staff
  • Communicate with Working Production Managers to direct mitigation projects in accordance with IICRC standards
  • Visit all project sites at least weekly
  • Communicate with supervisor and Operations Director regarding project status and needs
  • Communicate with clients to identify and meet expectations and maintain expectations throughout project
  • Writing the estimate and determining an agreed upon scope of services with the client and adjuster
  • Ensuring accurate documentation on all projects: photos, paperwork and dry book
  • Ensuring appropriate profit margin on direct and construction services. Projects that do not meet profit margins are ineligible for commissions.
  • Utilize Xactimate project management to create flow chart of services on the project. Whether it is direct or construction project there needs to be a logical flow of the project
  • Ensure National Account guidelines are met if applicable
  • Collections – ensuring our services are paid in full, commissions are not paid until the monies are received in full.
  • Participate in on-call manager duty
  • Complete quarterly and yearly goals sheet – sales, contact development, project closing ratios and what you would like to accomplish professionally in the next business cycle
  • Provide weekly schedules of tasks at Tuesday morning construction meetings
  • Develop and maintain professional contacts with adjuster, 5-10 is ideal. Build and develop relationships using monthly business development budget and attend appropriate industry and organizational functions
  • Conduct a minimum of 12 presentations per year to commercial contacts

Conditions of Position:

  • Obtain and maintain active IICRC certifications in water, fire, and mold mitigation within 12 months of hire
  • Join and maintain active status in one risk management organization or commercial property management association after 1 month of hire
  • Must pass a drug test and random drug tests during employment
  • Must pass a driving record check
