General Hotels Corporation and its Construction Division, Hospitality Project Services, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to supervise the construction of hotels as well as renovations of our existing Hotels. Responsibilities include but not limited to:Request RFP’s from Civil and Design Professionals, review and award contracts for project. Including but not limited to Geotech and Phase I reports.Work with local municipalities on design specifics to incorporate into project.Work with design professionals on brand required submittals and approvals.Prepare all bid documents and distribute for estimating with assistance from procurement and design professionals.Vet all bids from qualified and responsible bidders and prepare contracts.Estimate construction projects with assistance from procurement, design and architecture. Work with Superintendent/Subcontractors/Procurement to prepare and maintain construction schedule using Microsoft Project throughout project.Coordinate construction activities with project Superintendent.Process all subcontractor and supplier invoices.Supervise weekly sub-contractor meetings.Regularly visit the project and supervise project superintendent.Resolve day to day issues that may arise. Must be able to work with a variety of people to include architect, procurement, FF&E installer, hotel opening team, IT, sub-contractors, and vendors.Responsible for safety standards throughout the project.Provide leadership and direction to all project employees. Requirements:Florida Contractors License preferred but not required.Construction Experience – 10 yearsProject Management Experience – 5 yearsTravel in and around Florida.Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, Computer Ease (Project Management Software) and other software that may be needed to complete required tasks. |
