Position Title: Construction Project Manager – Residential Renovations
Reports To: Senior Project Manager
Location: Tampa, Florida
Job Status: Permanent – Full Time
Job Responsibilities:
- Work Planning: Conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors to review job scope, schedule, sequence, potential change orders, and set quality (finished product) expectations.
- Proactively recognize potential construction delays and communicate accordingly with management. Participating in collaborative problem solving is a must.
- Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills which may include occasionally interacting with client representative in the field as needed.
- Regularly inspect projects to verify construction is progressing and/or completed with company specs and quality of workmanship as required by policy.
- Possess the ability to scope and write comprehensive estimates using a proprietary estimating platform, which also includes sketching floorplans.
- Recruiting and on-boarding subcontractors/tradesmen is vital to operations.
- Coordinate jobsite material for vendors as needed.
- Provide subcontractors the necessary support to keep construction moving ahead.
- Ensure all sub-contractors always maintain a safe work environment and job site cleanliness.
- Review vendors invoicing for accuracy and submit to the Senior Project Manager for approval.
Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal building codes and permit requirements. Current on the best construction methods to execute the scoped work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, project management software, and the capability to load job photos in the company’s Synched Tool folders for client updates.
- Five years of renovation experience preferred.
- This position is remote and will require travel within the local metro market to support Operations as needed.
