Position Summary
The Project Manager (PM) will assist the General Manager to attain production goals and is directly responsible for overseeing the field mitigation/emergency Service operations within the Region. Superior leadership skills are critical overseeing the field crews in the operations department. The PM will represent Camp to the customers with the highest level of competence and professionalism.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The PM must communicate with other Camp employees, vendors, subcontractors and clients including property-level, mid-level and upper level executives and owners. The PM must have sufficient education, experience and communication skills (oral and written) to effectively discharge the assigned duties. Must have completed OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses, or complete OSHA 10 within first 10 working days, and OSHA 30 within the first 40 working days of employment with Camp. Basic understanding of Xactimate estimates. Ability to respond to emergency type calls at a moments notice.,
Responsibilities
The Camp Project Manager (PM) represents Camp in company meetings and events, on the job sites, and at industry functions. The PM is responsible for the following key duties:
- Build relationships with current customers
- Determine resources needed for Emergency Response type work.
- Negotiate rates with sub-contractors and vendors.
- Assist salesman/project manager with the buy-out of jobs in excess of $5,000.00.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the superintendents.
- Conduct regular and routine safety and quality inspections.
- Assist superintendents in solving complex emergency and mitigation problems and situations.
- Ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are followed including jobsite safety program.
- For all assigned jobs:
- Create Planning Lines
- Set up a budget for projects – oversee and manage financials – forecasting
- Set up POs and COs
- Participate in pre-construction meetings; inspect job sites at least weekly; produce weekly reports to the VP of Restoration; verify field documentation is being completed and uploaded.
- Facilitate monthly forecasting projects.
- Create reports on the financial health of projects.
- Oversee job setup for each project and cultivate & maintain healthy, effective, and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors and subcontractors, while seeking out new sources for the same. Spot-check payables weekly.
- Investigate and resolve client inquiries and complaints.
- Advise the General Manager of problems with staff and projects.
- Create increased profitability through creative cost-saving measures.
- Participate in the emergency on-call rotation and manage the BUCU process and equipment.
- Respond to Catastrophic events in other markets to assist with emergency response.
- Practice safe driving for Camp and encourage direct reports to do likewise.
