We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise Commercial Flooring work for construction projects in Central Florida.
Must be honest, organized, detailed oriented, a good problem solver, and professional in appearance and demeanor. Must be able to follow detailed system steps to complete projects as well as lead others effectively. Candidate must also be able to follow a budget and have an eye for high quality craftsmanship. This position will require managing multiple projects at one time.
Responsibilities and Duties
Effectively communicate and work with estimators, office personnel, installation crews and customers.
Manage with the help of the Field Superintendents production on the job site, receiving daily reports, reviewing any safety concerns on the project that would affect our ability to complete our installation.
Attend job site meetings as required by the contract and our presence on the job.
Approve pay request for the previous week for each sub-contractor on assigned projects.
Maintain a record of each project from start to completion with proper documentation for extra work items that occur.
May perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
The aptitude to communicate effectively is absolutely imperative.
Proficient in commercial construction and the challenges that will be encountered.
Effectively manage communications between the office, sub-contractors, estimators and General Contractors.
Must be able to walk all job sites and perform work the requires physical effort.
Review job take-offs and job cost estimates to ensure accuracy and achievement of gross margins.
Walk job progress weekly at the minimum to ensure work is progressing as needed.
Ensure that work is being carried out according to the specifications for each project.
Must be able to use in house project management system after training.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Microsoft office as well as excel.
Must be able to read and review blueprints.
