ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Office of University Communications and Marketing is the primary source for news and information about USF. The UCM team is responsible for producing and promoting university news, coordinating media relations, managing crisis communications, designing and implementing marketing campaigns, producing university publications and maintaining major university websites.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for the creation, management and evaluation of all university communications and marketing projects and campaigns. This position will implement shared technology solutions across the multi-campus UCM team to provide visibility and accountability for all projects to ensure that communications and marketing efforts are aligned to strategic goals, completed in a timely manner and meet or exceed performance expectations. This position will also be responsible for measuring and reporting on effectiveness using ongoing research/feedback mechanisms and data analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implements and manages project management technologies to provide visibility and accountability for all ongoing projects. Develops and maintains a production schedule to ensure timely completion and coordination of all projects and campaigns.

Works with colleagues across the university to develop project plans with clear goals, deliverables, tactics and deadlines in alignment with overarching UCM strategic objectives.

Assembles the relevant team of communications and marketing professionals to ensure satisfactory delivery of assigned projects. Identifies staff competencies and assigns resources to project tasks appropriate to each individual’s knowledge, skill, and abilities.

Defines and disseminates methods for regular communication of project status. Creates quarterly reports and monthly updates for internal staff and board on MarComm KPIs through formal presentations, activities, and communications.

In collaboration with the UCM team, creates ongoing educational and engagement opportunities for USF Pro-Com team and USF community at large.

Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of marketing/communications project management experience.

PREFERRED:
Demonstrated ability to utilize shared project management technologies across a large enterprise.

PMP certification and experience with agency or marketing and communications deliverables are not required but strongly preferred.
