| Stocker & Associates is looking for a Senior Accountant with experience in Property Managment Accounting and/or Real Estate Accounting. Below are the required qualifications, along with job duties. Please ONLY apply if you meet required background.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years full cycle accounting experience REQUIRED
- Experience in Real Estate and/or Property Management industry and accounting for specific industry related tasks
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field REQUIRED
- Mater’s, CPA, or other Public Accounting experience highly preferred
- Supervisory, Management, or Team Lead, including training experience, preferred
- Trud understanding of GAAP along with financial reporting, and presentation of findings
- Large Accounting software knowledge, preferable Yardi
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables and v-lookups
Job Duties:
- Review and analysis of financial data for multiple locations and multiple states with accuracy
- General Accounting, asset management, analysis, reconciliations and reporting of all financial activity.
- Handle acquisition and disposition accounting
- Manage monthly reconciliations of all monthly closeout activities
- Prepare financial reports for upper management and outside contacts with explanation when needed
- Back up to team on ad-hoc projects, operational tasks
- Identify process improvement, creating value-add reports, and support to other internal and external departments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline focused environment
- Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth, ever-changing environment
- Must work well under pressure and in a team environment
