ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY :
The University Controller’s Office is a System-wide function which is led by the Associate Vice President/Controller and has approximately 150 employees. The UCO consists of Accounting and Reporting Services (General Accounting, Financial Systems, Reporting, Research Cash Management, Asset Management, and Construction Accounting); Payment Services (Accounts Payable, Travel); Purchasing Services (Purchasing, PCard, and Central Receiving); Student Financial Services (Cashier’s Office, Student Accounting & Customer Service, and Accounts Receivable); Payroll and Tax Services and the Office of Supplier Diversity. The UCO’s mission is to safeguard institutional resources and provide accounting and operational support to the USF System while ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and regulatory financial guidelines.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage and process paperwork related to University assets. Update and maintain the database of property records. Notify members of the university community of property inventory issues and procedural requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify and process asset forms including property transfers, off-campus use permits, property retirements and unlocated/stolen items.
Tag new assets and research and verify asset tag to be reinstated
Load inventory scans, process physical inventory and verify location updates
Verify electronic form status
Inform the university community of upcoming inventories and provide unscanned lists to accountable officers requesting their assistance to complete the inventory. Produce instructional material outlining asset management procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in a university setting.
