The position of Property Maintenance is a full-time position that reports directly to the General Manager.
The Property Maintenance is responsible for the daily upkeep of the entire property. He or she must be able to perform minor repairs that may include, but are not limited to: painting, plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, and equipment installation. The employee in this role must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. He or she must frequently walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. He or she must be able to establish good communication and professional relationships with property guests. The Property Maintenance Technician must be proficient in the English language, both spoken and written. He or she is required to be on call for emergency situations.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that grounds are clean and free of clutter by picking up trash and debris
- Ensure that the building is properly maintained by cleaning siding and walkways
- Ensure that vacant rooms are in good repair, including but not limited to walls, appliances, furniture, carpet, and cabinets
- Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms on a scheduled basis
- Knowledge of security and safety equipment including location and operation
- Notify Supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations
- Notify Supervisor of any guest concerns
- Reconcile daily paperwork with supervisor prior to end of shift
- Respond to all emergency calls in a timely manner
- Perform functions as outlined in the Property Maintenance Technician Schedule and Duty Agreement
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Requires regular lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, as well as frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.
