Job Description
Property Maintenance Technician. Central Florida Ranching Property Maintenance Technician candidate must enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission and results driven. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong verbal communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
The Property Maintenance Technician will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in general landscape/maintenance work.
Ability to recognize safety hazards and take precautionary methods to protect self and others.
Ability to do manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
Experience in maintenance, repair, carpentry, light plumbing, groundskeeping and related fields are a plus.
Conduct routine inspections of property and determines maintenance needs.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Keep current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property.
Notify staff of unsightly or hazardous conditions and recommended solutions.
Maintain community appearance and ensure repairs are noted and completed on timely basis.
Some knowledge of livestock, crops, and agricultural products a plus
What you will need to be successful:
Experience: 1+ years in a related field
Excellent coordination and planning skills
Ability to handle high workloads and fast paced work environment
Self-sufficient with ability to solves unique problems.
Travel between project sites (Pasco to Ft. Myers – a car is a must)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly flexible, available, and responsive
Proactively identifies issues that require resolution or follow up and taking steps or making recommendations to resolve
