Job Description

Managing the hotel’s (25 unit property) overall operation through maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, and exceeding guest expectations

  • Performs all main office functions as required; responsible for booking room reservations; answering phone calls; checking guest in & out.
  • Establishes client base of organizations, associations, social, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales effort for the purpose of securing business for the hotel to ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Completes and transmits daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Orders supplies & maintains inventory for overall operation of property
  • Wash & folds clean linens and stores as appropriate.
  • Maintaining linen counts for monthly inventories.
  • Inspects the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms and public areas.
  • Supervises maintenance staff in the maintenance and repair of plumbing, hotel rooms, A/C and heating, ice machine, swimming pools, lighting, and laundry.
  • Ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed on a timely, cost effective basis and according to specifications.
  • Orders necessary materials and tools for repairing equipment and keeps within budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintains an ongoing preventative maintenance program for the hotel.
  • Shares responsibility in after hour calls/emergencies

Office hours 9 am – 5 pm / 7 days a week

Qualifications Summary:

Preferably a minimum of 2 year of hotel front-desk supervisory experience, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks

Must be able to favorably represent Hotel to owners, guest and the community..

Must be able to communicate and listen attentively to supervisors and team members.

Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length.

Must be guest sensitive and possess a sense of urgency.

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language of the work location.

Must be able to read and follow written instructions.

Must be able to lift pans, boxes, etc… up to 40lbs.

Must be team oriented and people friendly.
