Accounts Payable Specialist

Mission:

Process accurate and timely vendor invoices, in compliance with company and state law policies.

Accountabilities:

Process vendor invoices daily and submit for approval

Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirm that correct general ledger account codes are used, and invoices are allocated properly

Setup online payments and accounts as required

Monitor Aged Payables and coordinate with Managers for payment based on Vendors Net Terms

Evaluate all account payable balance and resolve all unpaid invoices issues

Respond to emails and calls regarding Accounts payable issues and provide resolutions

Maintain and update Accounts Payable data and ensure accuracy of the General Ledger

Collaborate with various departments for approvals, coding, payment and month end closing

Verify expense reports, gather receipts and ensure compliance with company policies

Provide data on outstanding Balances

Reconcile accounts

Inform Managers of discrepancies

Assist with special projects

Prepare vendor 1099 and other documents as needed

New vendor review, approval and setup

Assist Accounting and other departments in any other functions as needed.

Education, Training and Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred and 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payables
  • Real Estate Management experience preferred
  • Basic Accounting experience.
  • Familiar with accounting programs and software
  • Computer and math skills
