Scope:

Manages the properties overall operation through maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees and exceeding guest expectations.

· Participates in the selection of front office personnel.

· Trains, cross-trains, retrain all front office personnel.

· Schedules the front office staff

· Supervises workloads during shifts.

· Evaluates the job performance of each front office employee.

· Maintains working relationships and communicates with all Departments.

· Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.

· Resolves guest related problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.

· Reviews and completes credit limit report

· Works within the allotted budget for the front office

· Enforces all cash handling and credit policies.

· Develops goals and action plans for personal and professional growth

· Performs 90-day and annual reviews

· Inspires cooperation and teamwork

· Conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office personnel.

· Upholds the hotels commitment to hospitality

Additional Duties

· Assists in developing operating budgets

· Sell potential guests both within the hotel and outside the hotel.

· Works with department heads and employees directly and counsels employees when necessary. Establishes programs to improve employee morale and motivation. Delegates work responsibilities in order to best utilize all personnel

· Prepares all reports in a timely basis. Analyzes and states strategies to improve overall operation of hotel and revenues.

· Obtains current, competitive rate information

· Maintains and monitors proper safety procedures are being used by all team members.

· Serves as a role model for all team members by exhibiting a professional image.

Qualifications Summary:

· Preferably a minimum of 1 year of hotel front-desk supervisory experience, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks

· Must be able to favorably represent Hotel to the guest and the community..

· Must be able to communicate and listen attentively to supervisors and team members.

· Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length.

· Must be guest sensitive and possess a sense of urgency.

· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language of the work location.

· Must be able to read and follow written instructions.

· Must be able to lift pans, boxes, etc… up to 40lbs.

· Must be team oriented and people friendly.
