$14.83 – $22.75 an hour

The Pinellas County Property Appraiser is seeking candidates for the position of Property Records Assistant. This position’s main focus is the data entry of ownership changes from recorded documents including deeds, probate instruments, certificates of title, and other legal instruments. In addition, the candidate will be assigned duties in the entry of field data collected by residential and commercial appraisers, including structural elements, field notes, permit data, and building sketches. The incumbent may be assigned as back-up to customer service and exemption positions as the need arises. The position is located at the Clearwater Courthouse, with occasional short assignment to any of our 3 branch offices (north, mid and south county).

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in clerical, customer service, and administrative support; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
    • Preference will also be given candidates who possess extensive experience in data entry, excellent skills in math, MS Word, and Excel.

Additional Requirement

  • Candidates will be required to take and pass the Property Appraiser’s skills test if selected for interview.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in real estate, title, legal, banking, finance or appraisal.
