Assistant Vice President Property Treaty Broker

Global insurance broker seeks a Property Treaty Broker for the team. This role will not only place new business and handle renewals but also will handle reinsurer presentations and partner will work with the Catastrophe sectors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new/renewal business presentations to prospective and existing clients
  • Ensure timely production of renewal submissions
  • Solicit new clients
  • Create and foster strong relationships
  • Handle all client queries and concerns
  • Communicate to the broader team regarding renewal status
  • Analyze and implement client specific programs
  • Maintain knowledge of reinsurers’ product lines, approvals, etc.
  • Place new business with client-approved reinsurers
  • Manage expenses, time and services to maximize company profitability

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Broker’s license required
  • 6+ years in a brokerage setting; capacity to handle complex accounts for large clients
  • Extensive treaty reinsurance/retrocessional concepts and terms for developing and placing reinsurance programs
  • Strong Property background
  • Analysis catastrophe modeling systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills; for client relations and team building
  • Excellent communication skills both, verbal and written
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize work flows
  • Ability to handle significant work flows
