Full Job Description
Custom home builder in St. Pete, FL seeking to hire a Purchasing Manager with the following skills and attributes:
-proficient in reading construction documents, plans, and drawings
-able to source quality vendors and subcontractors in the local area
-create, edit, manage, and upload purchase orders to QuickBooks Online
-navigate QuickBooks Online in regards to purchase orders, invoices, reports
-develop project budgets based off of bids
-proficiency in understanding allowances, base bids, and change orders
-project management experience – track costs the duration of the project, compare costs to budget to determine over/under, and provide regular monitoring and reports to management team
-maintain organized selection sheet for all purchases in coordination with design department
-knowledge of residential building permits to support office team with permit applications
-general knowledge of custom home building phases from start to finish
-support office team by answering phones, greeting visitors at the door, and reflecting the standards of the company
-experience with BuilderTrend a plus
-proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook
-highly organized, ability to anticipate needs of the client/project, team player motivated by working with others to achieve organizational goals, process oriented
-bachelor’s degree in related field
-must be available Monday-Friday 8-5pm
