Job Description: This position is responsible for the development, planning, management, and implementation of outreach and educational activities for PPS-Exempt Cancer Hospitals (PCHs) to support the hospitals’ data collection and reporting requirements of the PPS-Exempt Cancer Hospital Quality Reporting (PCHQR) program to Centers of Medicaid and Medicare (CMS). The PCHQR Project Lead will work closely with team members and other contractors by serving as a resource on quality improvement methodologies. Provide assistance, support, and recommendations to comply with reporting requirements. The PCHQR Project Lead reports to the Project Director. This incumbent will take a leading role in coordinating and collaborating with the project director on goals, objectives, and work plans as well as administer the operational aspects of the project and contract deliverables.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the nationwide direction and implementation of the PCHQR program outreach and education support activities in collaboration with CMS
- Responsible for the development, monitoring, and timely implementation of the PCHQR program project plan, contract deliverables, and educational plan
- Collaborate and participate with CMS and other contractors in strategic planning (upcoming rule writing), reviewing and developing business rules and requirements for Public Reporting/Hospital Compare website, and the development of measure related specifications manuals, tools, and the CMS QualityNet website
- Responsible for the development educational materials, conduct outreach and support for the PCH setting, which includes the PCHQR program and measures. Demonstrate the ability to provide an up-to-date knowledge of clinical oncology treatments in a cancer facility
- Responsible for creating, moderating, and/or presenting education webinars for the reporting programs. Must possess knowledge of the programs in order to present material in a knowledgeable fashion, and be able to answer questions in an open forum
- Able to effectively communicate with CMS project leads and Task leader as well as communicate with the internal team leads and management
- Able to effectively communicate with program participants regarding all aspects of the reporting programs (e.g., deadlines, program requirements, and measure information, responses to questions)
- Able to communicate with statisticians and interpret data for providers and CMS with a strong knowledge of statistical concepts
- Able to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to travel (as required) to achieve project goals
- Attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills will be used
Days & Hours: Full time position; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm. Complete schedule will be discussed with the applicant.
