The Bookkeeper/Office Administrator is a critical member of the brokerage leadership team. In collaboration with leadership, the Bookkeeper/Office Administrator uses systems, tools, and processes to drive profitability.

The ideal candidate is thought of as the “voice of value” in the brokerage, is skilled in QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Excel, etc. and understands the importance of attention to detail, effective communication, value systems and consistently quantify and communicate value to support associate validity. They are leaders in strategic, financial decision-making and ensure appropriate bookkeeping and accounting systems are accurately maintained.

This is an individual who is a rapid problem solver, who easily and quickly learns from their environment, and who appreciates an efficient work structure. They can think through a problem or solution in order to present it logically to others and enjoy a variety of responsibilities in a changing environment. They are not typically demanding, strive to cultivate trust and goodwill through effective communication, and are concerned about doing what is right according to the standards.

These are the standards a well-above-average performer will maintain or exceed:

  • All bookkeeping (A/R and A/P) requirements for all associate transactions and reporting to corporate accounting, with daily, weekly, monthly computer inputs and reporting
  • Systems development, implementation, and refinement as necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Brokerage
  • Managing some aspects of the agent onboarding process
  • Acting as the office administrator for the Brokerage, fielding phone calls, greeting guests and maintaining common and functional areas of the work environment for day-to-day operations
  • Purchasing and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and oversight of technology and support systems
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the Owner and Managing Broker necessary

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage essential accounting and bookkeeping tasks and reporting within Quick Books as well as, Word, Excel, Google Sheets and Docs
  • Experience in a busy professional office setting, with 1-3 years of real estate, administrative, and/or management experience preferred and not mandatory
  • Responsiveness, and ability to execute key initiatives and requirements in an efficient manner while balancing daily requirements
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service and relationship management, with strong written and verbal communications skills

Compensation $20 – $25 hourly
