Job Description – Buyer Summary of Position The Buyer for a HomeVestors franchise is vital to the success of the business. As the Buyer you will serve as the first face-to-face representation of HomeVestors to each seller. The Buyer will attend appointments set by the office and conduct the “buy presentation” to each seller. Characteristics o Goal oriented o Knowledgeable of the real estate investment business o Knowledgeable of the HomeVestors system (training provided) o Able to relate with sellers o Focused o Self-motivated and have a desire to buy houses o Neat in appearance/well-groomed/professionally dressed o Well-spoken Duties & Responsibilities To attend appointments, to make offers to purchase houses, and to complete the process of acquiring (or closing) a property (or transaction). The Buyer’s primary responsibility is to buy properties. To successfully buy properties, a Buyer needs to: o Get the Buy Call information that was gathered by the Coordinator, or the person who receives the lead. o Determine the comparables (comps) o Drive the comps before the Buy Appointment to determine property value o Call the Seller several hours in advance to confirm the time of the appointment o Follow the Buy Appointment process o After walking through the house, enter numbers into ValueCheck to determine repair costs and the offer price ( confirm offer price with franchisee prior to presenting offer to seller ) o Complete required paperwork and submit as required o Follow-up with Sellers that do not agree to sell to you at the Buy Appointment o Attend networking events with franchisee as a representative of HomeVestors Job Type: Part-time Job Location:
