JOB SUMMARY
The real estate compliance clerk is a valuable member of the District Financial Services Team. This position’s key responsibilities involve supporting the District Compliance Associate and District Financial Associates in coordinating compliance with bond documents requirements, issuing estoppels and pay off letters, processing payments from real estate transactions. The clerk will be cross-trained in various functions performed by the team and will interact with other departments, management, developers and home owners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the filing of quarterly and annual continuing disclosure reports.
- Assist with the compiling of data for CDD’s annual reports.
- Effectively communicate with developers, builders, investment bankers and trustees.
- Manage requests from developers, escrow agents and homeowners for estoppels and payoff requests. Prepare required documents and work with financial associates for approval.
- Monitor and resolve questions received in the department specific mailboxes.
- Track and manage receipt of new bond documents.
- Assist with collection of data – product mix, plat maps, 3rd party reports from various sources.
- Prepare and update tracking sheets
- Must be able to multitask various responsibilities at a time.
Non-essential duties include other job-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & CRITICAL SKILLS
Must have a working knowledge of applicable company policies, procedures, state licensing standards, and must be familiar with accreditation expectations, including, but not limited to:
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
- Experience in real estate a plus.
- Familiarity with legal documents is helpful.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technology
- Capable of working independently, unsupervised and as a team player.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to audit own work.
- Ability to contribute to a team and exhibit willingness to provide insight on improvements to processes
- Strong time management skill and ability to operate under deadlines.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience – Three years of compliance-associated duties, or similar.
- Education – Bachelors Degree, with a major in Business or commiserate experience.
- Certifications – N/A
- Other required items – Ability to concentrate for long periods of time in a group office environment. Good understanding of accounting and financial practices and terms.
